Tarot of the Sweet Twilight (ToST) – Reading 1

This is the first in what will be a record of the readings I do for others.  Only the photos of the cards/spread and my interpretation will be posted.

I used the Tarot of the Sweet Twilight (ToST) for this reading, with a random significator and a Past, Present, Future spread.

Significator is the Knave of Swords:

The ideals of truth, of justice!  At least once in our lives, these ideals, or a reasonable facsimile, become our focus and our quest.  At these times, nothing else matters and we will not be distracted.

Past card is the High Priestess: The High Priestess is familiar with the life that goes unseen, beneath the floors and in the walls.  What others may demean, she values and protects.

Present card is the 5 of Chalices:  (The card was reversed, but I don’t read reversals.)

There are times when our hearts feel empty, like we’ve lost that which is most dear.  It is best to lay with that loss, let the soul rest.  Often, afterwards, we see that, perhaps, all was not really lost.

Future card is the 6 of Wands: When the thing you’ve waited for, worked for, is finally achieved, sadness is close on the heels of victory.  It is done, and now what quest will fill your days, your heart, your mind?

Interpretation:

You are on a set path with a plan, even if you’re not consciously aware of what it is.  Things are in motion and there’s a definitive end goal.  The person you asked about is someone who meant much to you on many levels – at times, in the past, you felt as if the connection was unshakeable because that person knew things you never thought anyone would know, and those things were a large part of why they valued you.  You worry that the connection has been severed and wonder what your life will mean without it…and haven’t come to peace with the idea.

Relax and breathe.  All is not lost.  You may see them again – it is all a turn of the wheel.  But if you spend your time in constant search, you’ll miss some truly important things.  In addition, they are not who they were, and a meeting does not mean that you will recapture what was there.  Take time to think about what was important about your connection, and why, before pinning your hopes on the past.

As this deck is intuitive, take some time to gaze at the card images below.  You may see symbols that have meaning that will clarify this reading.
